Same thing with Friday the 13th. Not that I love it, necessarily, but it's not a day if dread, if'n you get my drift.
So why oh why did my sewing machine break down right before my big March project--TODAY? Hmmm...which is especially weird, since my last sewing machine was recently annihilated in a car accident (hmm, there's a lot more unlucky here, than meets the eye!) so this sewing machine is not even a year old. Heh! Who'da thunk a Singer couldn't handle an extra large sewing project all at once.
So, right now, March Madness has to be changed around a little bit (since I won't have NEARLY all I planned ready) but I will still make March Madness worth your while---think GIVEAWAY action and more...and extending March Madness into all of March mwahahahaa!
Wow, this is really frustrating. It seems as if I cannot get onto a regular dollmaking schedule, try as I might. I think it was 2 or 3 months ago that I created the first batch of dolls--all but for the Valentine Swap. GrumbleGrumbleGrumble--the Success Fairies are not shining on me.
Pretty soon, I'll be reduced to doing what this little fellow is doing, which probably won't be all that bad:
Well, I won't look QUITE this CUTE doing my thing....Maybe I'll get my boyfriend to look the evil sewing machine later today. He is generally handy, although I know repairing such "girlie" items is so foreign to most adult, red-blooded American men that it might render them almost impotent--so, we'll see! Ha!
So stay tuned, Friends! Ides of March Madness lives up to it's name--giveaway and fun on March 15th!
Dolls on the 16th and after!!
General Bafoonery all year round! Happy Friday!
Pox on the machine Zan! I'm not superstitious (much) either, but the fact that it did break down today....hmmmmmm???
ReplyDeleteHope it is just some little thing like a snarled thread in the bobbin case and that it will start working soon for you.
May a black cat come and nap in your open umbrella.
Hugs,
Sue
Dang sewing machines. They're kinda like computers huh? Great when they do what you want them to do and WORK!
ReplyDeleteDid you try walking under a ladder? :]
Hope you get it working!
Hehee, yes! Apparently, a black cat must snooze under an open umbrella UNDER a ladder!
ReplyDeleteHi Zan!
ReplyDeleteHope it gets fixed soon. I have had a terrible day and have decided to blame it squarely on it being the 13th even though I am not especially superstitious.
I am visiting from ADO by the way as you have just added me as a friend so thank you very much!
Sarah :)
Hi Zan
ReplyDeleteI'm coming out of (seeming) hibernation to say hey! i had to giggle reading the post about your machine breaking down JUST when you need it most. I have been THERE sooo many times...which is why I tend to stay away from most things mechanical! Glad its back and you are not too mameb by it.
I can also relate to that feeling about not being able to stay on a productive schedule! There are soo many wonderful things to be done...why can't we do them all at once? I've had to bann myself from the web world in order to stay focused on the ART in 3d reality rather than inside my head. It has worked but I'm losing touch with the world....Need BALANCE!
It sounds like you are doing many wonderful things and staying creative on mnay fronts, though.
I will check back more often because I always miss your great events. Can't wait to see your new dolls. Loving everything you do...
Luna
