Yikes, I am sorry to be out of the loop, Friends...
I thought I had a horrid cold and chest complaints and ended up with walking pneumonia. I didn't even think walking pneumonia even existed anymore, unless you lived in the world of Laura Ingalls, but then what do I know.
Of course, I didn't get any creative work done (even if I wanted to, I didn't want to "contaminate" anything, so kept out of the studio), which makes me as sad as...well, having walking pneumonia. And the meds are as bad as the sickness!
So please, please forgive me if I am a little behind with posts and WIPs and all the other fun stuff. Ahh, weirdly, I see that my readership is down--well, at least on my dashboard, but the same number looks like it's up on the actual blog---is anyone else having this problem? Very strange.
Also, since I had a LOT of time to sit and think, I need some goodly opinions. As you may or may not know, I have THREE blogs. Yes, I say this not to brag, but to let you know that this amount is...ahem...quite a bit, so I thought to streamline by combining this blog with the farm blog.
Now, before you think I've lost my mind (well, I have already, so too late there!), here is at least one blog that seems to tie in art with farm or nature, or other such, and do it SO well.
So what do you think? Would this turn you off? Hmm, and I wonder if I should keep the blog name or rename it it's proper business name, WildAtHeartFarm?
Any opinions will be greatly appreciated!

A Happy Valentines Day....
Why, hello there!
I hope everyone is having a Heartfelt day. I am sharing with you some small remarkable things that are putting a smile on my face today.
I was already happy on Thursday because I won this cutie from Marie Patterson in the One World One Heart Giveaway!
I am trying to patiently wait for her arrival!
Then, look what I got yesterday! This box came in the post, and is from my "Tokens of Love" swap partner, Sarah! In it is supposed to be a heart, I know, but I am just in love with the outside of the box! Isn't this little label just cute?

So, here's what's inside the box!
Even the tissue paper is cute--look at the heart shape (ahh, yes, it doesn't take much to please me!)

Then, finally--the heart!
Haha! Sarah secretly knows I want to have a farm! Isn't it just darling? She put so much thought into it.

And, I don't think I've ever seen a "3 dimensional" heart! How creative was that--it still utilizes the rules but takes it in a totally different direction!
I am doing a little happy dance! I will definitely have to put this on my farmy blog!
By the way, the heart that I made Sarah can be seen by clicking HERE.
Finally, my sweet precious boyfriend, who tries to attend to my many crazy whims, finally threw up his hands. I can't imagine that most boys understand girls and their fantastical desires, so I told him to do something romantic and "unexpected." Can I tell you, I went to the bathroom the other day to find THIS:
Yes, it is written on the toilet paper!
Talk about totally unexpected! How can you not love a crazy fool who will do anything to please you? Including funny stuff to let you know how foolish you are? It definitely got a good laugh from the both of us!
But then....because he knows I want to learn music and violin--well, fiddling (remember it's all about farm enchantment), he orders THIS:
Ahh, one more thing to keep me from making dolls!
Yes, I am very happy, it's been a wonderful Valentine's week!
With more hearts coming your way, soon!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

WIP of Prim and Whimsy Heart and other news!
Happy Monday everyone!
Well, as I promised, I will be posting the entire process of creating the Queen of Hearts heart. Before I do so, I also wanted to add to yesterdays passel of news: I forgot to mention that my dolls are featured in this months "Small Town Living" online magazine! It's a great online magazine that features old fashioned, rural and simple living--I think it's just aces, so run over and check it out!
Also, I will be featuring even more dolls in MY online magazine Big Town Farmer! Our upcoming edition will be featuring the Spooky Time Jingles crew! Yes, I know what you're thinking: what the heck am I doing with a magazine? Don't I LIKE sleeping? And, how much dolli-ness can one surround themselves with?? Apparently, LOTS!
Ok, having said that, here is how I constructed Queen of Hearts:

I am not really good at drawing out sketches before I create the project, but I actually was worried about the strange placement of the crown and such. Since this was really the image that I wanted to add to the heart, I drew directly onto it, using a soft animation pencil (sorry for the poor quality, the camera was acting up this day...hmmm....)

But then....TADA! The finished project! All Hail the Queen!
BUT WAIT!
Let's not forget the BACK of the heart! Because I am always finding myself adding "bits and baubles" I couldn't resist...some sequined stars to go with the hearts!
I hope you like it, Sarah! As well as you, Good Readers!

Measured the heart out. It needed to be 5 x 5"
