These past few weeks I have been inundated with more work, but there were some fun and wonderful things, too!
First, since I told you a little about my mother for Mother’s Day (which you can see HERE), I wanted to let you know a bit about my father since we just finished celebrating Father’s Day.
Here is my father:

I know I might be biased but I always thought he was quite dashing.
My father has been a lifelong example of doing ANYTHING in the face of adversity. He was born in a poverty stricken country and his own father died, leaving his family destitute. Despite this, my father went on to become a doctor. He was so poor that he spent hours hand copying his student friends’s medical books (this was before they had copy machines) because he couldn’t afford to pay for his own books.
When I was 4 years old, my father came down with an extremely rare disease that weakened his muscles to the point that he had no choice but be wheelchair bound. Most people would sink into despair. I think my father did, for a time, but then he decided to go about relearning how to master his life. And he did--he got around, did most things with his hands that might have bothered other people, and even became a successful pathologist, with my mother’s help. He was a great doctor. He was a stickler for education and was a great example to my sister and I.
Obviously, you can see where my desire to live a full (if crazy!) life comes from, but I honestly feel that I have nothing to fear or worry about when I look at the adversity the my father has overcome.

(And secretly, I still think I am daddy’s little girl)
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, DAD!
Ok…in the meantime, I have been secretly working at the Vagabond Toy shoppe!
So look for these magical creatures:

(and a few more!) in the Etsy Store on Monday!
And finally--speaking of crazy adverse adventures! Some of you may or may not know that I am part of Oprah Winfrey’s talk show host challenge!
